Zhejiang Uni to launch brain science, AI research project

Zhejiang University (ZJU), one of the first universities in China to conduct research on artificial intelligence (AI), is set to push ahead with a project combining brain science and AI research.
Dubbed as the "double brain project", the program is aimed at addressing major challenges in international science research and promoting the application of brain disease diagnosis and treatment, intelligent medical treatment and smart city development.
By leveraging the advantageous disciplines of ZJU, the project will focus on the convergence and innovation of the two disciplines and advance the development in brain science and consciousness and next generation of AI.
Relying on its long history and solid foundation in brain science and AI, ZJU has brought together a number of leading researchers in neurosciences, cognitive science, bioscience, clinical medicine and psychological science and achieved significant findings over the years.
