Football fans in Hangzhou, Zhejiang province were invited by the Hangzhou Sports Lottery to attend watch parties for the delayed UEFA European Championship, or Euro 2020, on June 13.

At Maijian Coffee Bar in Binjiang district, about 100 fans witnessed England winning their Euro 2020 Group D match against Croatia. The organizer also provided other entertainment, including music performances and foosball games.

Famous commentators will be invited to give advice to lottery players during upcoming activities that will be held across the city.

The release of sports lotteries has played an important role in raising funds for the construction of sports venues, according to the China Sports Lottery. Earnings from sports lotteries are funding the construction of five new Asian Games venues and the renovation of many more.
