A group of international students from Russia, Bolivia and Serbia marked the upcoming Chinese Spring Festival in a local village of Lin'an district, Hangzhou, Zhejiang province, on Jan 22.

They learned to write Spring Festival couplets and make dumplings from local villagers.

Over the years, the village has adopted a series of measures for its environmental renovation by leveraging its picturesque scenery, with the hope of stimulating its tourism industry and attracting more visitors. As a result, a growing number of homestay businesses with unique characteristics have settled in the village and given a boost to the local rural economy.
