The "Global Mayors Dialogue • Hangzhou" and the 9th Hangzhou International Sister Cities Mayor Forum will take place on Sept 25, bringing together mayors and representatives from 24 cities in 15 countries, as well as diplomatic and domestic delegates.

The event will focus on the sharing of innovative urban governance strategies and exploration of sustainable development practices.

Hangzhou, home to three UNESCO World Heritage sites West Lake, the Grand Canal (Hangzhou section), and the Liangzhu Archaeological Site, has rapidly expanded its international sister city network. The city boasts a strong cultural heritage, thriving digital economy, and business-friendly environment, connecting it with 31 sister cities and 42 partner cities worldwide. As the host of the event, Hangzhou aims to foster deeper global collaboration and dialogue between cities.

The forum will focus on urban governance and sustainable development, with participants set to discuss innovative governance models, digital economy growth, environmental protection, and cultural preservation. Two parallel forums will focus on city and digital-physical integration and city and green development, inviting experts to explore future development paths.

During the event, attendees will also visit West Lake, plant trees at the International Friendship Forest, and tour key cultural and tech sites in Hangzhou, offering insights into the city's rich history and modern innovation.
