Being ambitious in the hunt for international talents, Binjiang also issued a handbook covering entrepreneurship and innovation opportunities, as well as other aspects of life for high-caliber personnel who intend to start businesses in the region.
"We hope to recruit around 25,000 talents every year," Zhan added.
Known as Hangzhou High-tech Industrial Development Zone (HHTZ), Binjiang has maintained steady economic development for a decade and cultivated a bunch of innovative enterprises featured within the digital economy.
In 2018, HHTZ ranked 3rd among the 157 State-level high-tech zones in China, closely following Beijing’s Zhongguancun Science Park and Shenzhen Hi-Tech Industrial Park.
The GDP of the district reached around 135 billion yuan ($20.05 billion) last year with a year-on-year increase of 11 percent, while the digital economy rose 17.2 percent to 307 billion yuan.
