Chun’an county makes efforts to build special ecological function area

Chun'an county in Hangzhou will spend 6.69 billion yuan ($0.95 billion) on 154 projects this year and promote the construction of the Chun'an special ecological function area, according to a recent announcement made at a press conference for the Chun'an People's Congress on April 12.

The projects include 13 transportation projects which are expected to receive 4.64 billion yuan in investments, accounting for 67.4 percent of the year's budget.

Chun'an is also emphasizing agricultural and ecological protection projects, with agricultural projects expected to receive 630 million yuan in investment. 

The county's 21 ecological preservation projects are expected to attract 230 million yuan in investment. In addition to the ecological preservation project in Qiandao Lake and Thousand-Island Lake and the sewage treatment project, Chun'an will also renovate 380 garbage collection stations in its urban areas.

Chun'an will spend 290 million yuan on 40 city construction projects involving basic infrastructure construction, fire control, security, drainage and parking.

The county will also spend 290 million yuan on 18 educational, cultural and health care projects.
