The fifth session of the 13th Hangzhou Municipal People's Congress was recently held from April 26 to 27.

During the event, Lin Xin was elected mayor of Hangzhou and delegates reviewed and approved of the government report, Hangzhou's economic and social growth in 2019, and Hangzhou's plans for economic and social development in 2020.

The work reports delivered by the standing committee of the Hangzhou Municipal Congress, the Hangzhou Intermediate People's Court, and the Hangzhou People's Procuratorate were also reviewed and approved.

Zhou Jiangyong, Party secretary of Hangzhou, delivered a speech in which he reviewed Hangzhou's achievements over the past year and praised the standing committees of the Hangzhou Municipal Congress at all levels for their efforts in combating the novel coronavirus.

He reiterated this year's plans and tasks and said that everyone should work to achieve them.
