The city of Hangzhou -- capital of East China's Zhejiang province - - gave awards to a number of nurses, to honor their dedication and great contribution to the fight against COVID-19 at a ceremony held on May 12, International Nurses Day, according to local officials.

A total of 100 nurses were recognized as "most beautiful nurses", and 233 nurses were honored as "most beautiful nurses for supporting the local anti-epidemic efforts in Wuhan".

Zhou Jiangyong, Party secretary of Hangzhou and other top officials in the city, attended the ceremony and presented awards to the winners.
