Hangzhou will be further linked with other Chinese cities as high-speed trains will be introduced between Hangzhou and Yancheng in East China's Jiangsu province and between Hangzhou and Yinchuan in Northwest China's Ningxia Hui autonomous region on Jan 20.
The G7540/G7539 high-speed trains traveling between Hangzhou and Yancheng will provide a direct route taking only three hours and nine minutes.
It is the first direct line between the two cities, as Yancheng was not connected to the domestic high-speed railway network until Dec 30, 2020. It is expected to offer faster travel throughout Zhejiang province, the eastern coastal area of Jiangsu province, and Shandong province.
The G7540/G7539 high-speed trains traveling between Hangzhou and Yinchuan will shorten travel time from 34 hours and 21 minutes to 11 hours and 37 minutes. It is also the first high-speed line between the two cities.
