The Hangzhou branch of the Communist Party of China, which was formed in early September of 1922, was the first Party organization in Zhejiang province.
Located in a two-story building at the former No 3 Pishi Alley, the branch has brought new vigor to the revolutionary cause in Zhejiang. It also marks increased communist spirit in the province and the expanding of local Party organizations.
In January 1926, the CPC Hangzhou Committee was established, and a year later, the CPC Zhejiang Provincial Committee was established.
The memorial hall was renovated from the former two-story building and offers a clearer and more comprehensive guide to the history and development of the group, as well as to the hot-blooded revolutionaries that have devoted their time, energy, and even their lives.
