Lou Tower Ancient Town

Located in the south of Xiaoshan district, Hangzhou, Louta Ancient Town covers an area of about 500 square meters. Boasting a history of more than a thousand years, it was first built in the late Tang Dynasty (897), developed in the Song Dynasty and flourished in the Ming and Qing Dynasties.

The town boasts a profound cultural background with a gathering of talents. It is a comprehensive scenic spot integrating exhibition and experience of various cultures such as temple culture, traditional Chinese medicine, ancient street, red culture, calligraphy and painting culture.

Surrounded by flowing streams and dotted with distinctive ancient houses, the town is full of ancient monuments which tell us the history of it.

Scenic spots such as Lou Manwen memorial, Lou Ying memorial, Lou Tower Art Center of Li Keran Painting Academy, Lou Ying temple, and Lou Jin temple, will make you stop to enjoy the profound heritage of the ancient town in the south of the Yangtze River.
