The Hangzhou Asian Games Organizing Committee and Zhejiang provincial poverty alleviation team in Garze announced that an online sales campaign would open on Sept 23 to help increase the income of farmers from the Tibetan autonomous prefecture in Southwest China's Sichuan province and to celebrate the one-year countdown to the 19th Asian Games.

A total of nine kinds of produce unique to Garze, such as walnut powder, buttered tea, dried yak meat, seasoned yak meat paste, highland barley, and matsutake, a species of choice edible mycorrhizal mushroom, were on offer.

It was the first campaign initiated by the committee to help farmers in remote rural areas increase their income and facilitate local economic recovery and development.

People can visit the campaign page via the integrated service mini-program designed by the Hangzhou Asian Games Organizing Committee on Alipay, a popular Chinese mobile payment app.

The program currently has nearly 20 million users from across the world. These users can get real-time information about the Games and its host and co-host cities, as well as book tickets and arrange their accommodations in Hangzhou via the program.
