This outdoor event is one of the most popular New Year celebrations in Hangzhou, East China's Zhejiang province and will be held in Gongshu district from 8:30 am to 9:30 am on Dec 31.

The "Lucky Walk" event will feature a 6-kilometer-long circular route along scenic spots along the Grand Canal, which starts from the handicraft experience center, pass through Gongchen Bridge, Qingsha Park, Xiangji Temple, Jiangzhang Bridge, Maiyuqiao Pier, and Xiaohe Park, and return to the handicraft experience center.

There will be five check-in stops along the way, which are all renowned scenic spots along the canal.

The Xiaohe Park, in particular, is quite familiar to senior Hangzhou residents as it used to be the Xiaohe Oil Depot, which was the first oil depot established in Zhejiang province since the founding of People's Republic of China. The park is nowadays one of the most popular sightseeing destinations for local residents.
