The commemorative stamps for the 19th Asian Games Hangzhou were officially unveiled on Sept 23, local media outlets reported.

The set consists of two stamps, featuring the emblem and the mascot of the Games. The total face value of the stamps is 2.40 yuan ($0.33), and 7.83 million sets and 885,000 sheets will be issued as part of the second edition.

The stamps are the only of their kind to be issued for the Hangzhou Asian Games and feature innovative designs and craftsmanship.

A special edition of the stamps, with a face value of 9.60 yuan, was also released. The special edition utilizes multi-color high-precision offset printing combined with cold stamping and full-color printing techniques. It employs specially developed security-line imitation banknote paper, integrating Chinese culture with the digital era in Hangzhou and showcasing the natural features of the city, known for its picturesque landscapes and athletic spirit.

To meet the philatelic demands of the public, the stamps will be available for purchase at postal Asian Games licensed stores and various postal outlets throughout Zhejiang province.
