In the lead-up to the 114th International Women's Day , Hangzhou held a commemorative ceremony to honor local model women on March 6.

The ceremony recognized the recipients with various honors, with a total of 58 collectives and 195 individuals in Hangzhou receiving 17 honors at the national and provincial levels.

Through presentations of team achievements and speeches, the event showcased the resilience and spirit of Hangzhou women, along with representatives sharing their stories of struggle and success.

During the event, a signing ceremony for a women's employment, entrepreneurship, and innovation promotion project took place. The Hangzhou Women's Federation signed a strategic cooperation agreement with Zhejiang Rural Commercial Bank's Hangzhou Branch to support entrepreneurship among women. Additionally, the federation signed agreements with Alibaba to provide more job opportunities for women and with the Hangzhou Female Entrepreneurs Association to facilitate employment and entrepreneurship among female college graduates.

Throughout the International Women's Day season, the federation will organize events such as a special job fair for female college students, high-level talent networking activities, and an open fair. Landmarks in key areas of Hangzhou, including Hubin Pedestrian Street, Wulin Square, and Future Sci-Tech City, will also be illuminated to extend holiday greetings to women across the city.
