"China Night Economy Vitality Index Report" has been released by China Media Group's CCTV Finance channel on March 30. According to the report, night-time consumption revenues in China reached 1.57 trillion yuan (about $220 billion) in 2023. The top 10 night-time consumption cities in 2023 were Chengdu, Beijing, Shanghai, Chongqing, Hangzhou, Shenzhen, Changsha, Zhengzhou, Wuhan, and Guangzhou. Changsha ranked first as the city where people enjoy night-time dining and food the most.
