As the Dragon Boat Festival nears, Tonglu county in Hangzhou sees a surge in hotel and homestay bookings.

Manchun Xiyu Inn in Tonglu has been fully booked since its April renovation, attracting many young visitors with its modern minimalist design and scenic views.

Activities like making traditional rice dumplings will be offered to enhance the festive atmosphere. Zhang Liangxiong, the owner, noted that rooms for the Dragon Boat Festival were booked out by early May, with guests primarily from Jiangsu and Shanghai.

Hotels in Tonglu are also in high demand.

Tonglu Fuchun River Hilton Hampton Hotel reports over 80 percent of bookings, with river-view and family rooms being particularly popular. Traditional decorations and activities will be featured. Tonglu World Trade Junting Hotel has over 90 percent of its rooms booked, nearing full capacity for the holiday.

The festive period brings a busy and vibrant atmosphere to the area, highlighting its appeal as a holiday destination.
