The 2024 Zhejiang-Taiwan Cooperation Week began in Hangzhou on June 12, bringing together over 500 representatives from well-known business groups, industry associations and enterprises, as well as young entrepreneurs from both sides of the Taiwan Strait.

Jointly hosted by the Taiwan Affairs Office of the State Council and the Zhejiang Provincial Government, the Zhejiang-Taiwan Cooperation Week has been held annually since 2013. It has become a key platform for economic and trade exchanges between Zhejiang and Taiwan.

During the opening ceremony, agreements for 12 projects were signed on-site, and agreements for a total of 47 Taiwan-funded projects worth $4.342 billion will be signed across the province throughout the week.

As of the end of 2023, Zhejiang had approved 11,658 Taiwan-funded enterprises, with actual investments reaching $32.8 billion. In 2023 alone, the province attracted $1.3 billion in new Taiwan investments.

The event also marked the launch of the "Chinese Top Anchors" Cross-Strait Youth Anchor Training Camp. A number of young participants were awarded certificates, and related companies received certificates as training camp mentor units.

Several cross-Strait entrepreneurs delivered keynote speeches on "New Productivity Forces and Zhejiang-Taiwan Integration," while young entrepreneurs shared their experiences and insights. The cooperation week will continue with specialized matchmaking activities in Jiaxing, Jinhua, Shaoxing, Lishui, Wenzhou, and Ningbo.
