Alibaba recently signed French basketball legend Tony Parker, a four-time NBA champion, as its brand ambassador.
Ahead of the Paris Olympics, Parker will promote B2B e-commerce to the global market.
Parker, the first foreign player to be named NBA Finals MVP and a six-time NBA All-Star, retired in 2019 and has since ventured into business. He plans to leverage Alibaba to source cost-effective products, enhancing his company's competitiveness. This collaboration will help Chinese SMEs expand into overseas markets.
During the Paris Olympics, Alibaba's ads will be featured at major landmarks including airports, subways, train stations, and the Champs-Elysees. Additionally, a special promotional campaign will launch before the Olympics, involving over 15,000 merchants.
