The 2024 inaugural International Comic Art Exhibition opened at the World Tourism Expo Center on Xianghu Lake, Xiaoshan on July 20, featuring over 800 humorous artworks from 50 countries and regions.

The exhibition is divided into three main sections - humor, sports, and environmental protection. The organizers highlighted that, with the 2024 Paris Olympics approaching, the exhibition aligns with the Green Olympics theme, promoting the concepts of joyful, healthy, and beautiful living.

"The selected works showcase the 'whimsical ideas' of cartoonists. Despite focusing on the same themes, artists from different countries bring unique perspectives, creating artworks that are artistic, entertaining, and educational," said Tao Xiaoming, chairman of the Zhejiang Cartoonists Association and curator of the exhibition.

The exhibition will run until Oct 7. Comic enthusiasts can follow the official WeChat account of the World Tourism Expo Center to purchase tickets and visit the exhibition (open Monday to Sunday, 9 am to 5 pm).
