The immersive Song Dynasty (960-1279)-themed night tour, Poetry and Wine in Youth, debuted at Xiaoyingzhou Island in West Lake on July 23.

This unique experience is inspired by the famous Song Dynasty poet and Hangzhou's former mayor Su Dongpo, as well as the picturesque scenery of West Lake.

West Lake, a UNESCO World Heritage site, abounds with millennia-old stories and has a cultural heritage. This summer, for the first time, visitors can enjoy a night tour of the island of Xiaoyingzhou, one of the lake's most iconic spots.

The tour is structured around the life of Su, highlighting his love for West Lake during his three significant periods in Hangzhou. The experience includes boat rides on the lake, poetry recitals, traditional tea ceremonies, and music performances, recreating the refined lifestyle of Song Dynasty literati.
