As the Paris Olympics approach, two products made and designed in Hangzhou have gained widespread attention online.
One is the official luggage for the Chinese sports delegation, made in Linping district, while the other is a pear syrup lollipop crafted in Luniao town, Yuhang district.
The luggage, named Yingyong, is inspired by the Terracotta Warriors and comes in red and black. Its design features fish-scale armor patterns, a general's bow tie, and elements from the Terracotta Warriors, such as the headscarf and the shield design from the bronze chariot. These suitcases recently accompanied Chinese athletes to the Paris Olympics.
The pear syrup lollipop is made from local honey pears. The edible rice paper on the lollipop depicts five traditional sports, namely cuju (soccer), touhu (pitch pot), archery, Go, and chuiwan (golf). This creative product will be presented as a gift to international guests by the General Administration of Sport of China during the Games.
