Hangzhou swimmer Fei Liwei made an impressive Olympic debut at the Paris Games on July 28. In the men's 400m freestyle, the 21-year-old set two personal bests in one day, finishing sixth in the final with a time of 3:44.24. The gold medal was claimed by Germany's Lukas Martens, who finished in 3:41.78.
Despite being more focused on the 800m and 1,500m, Fei's performance in the 400m freestyle was impressive. His results make him the third-best-performing Chinese swimmer in the event's history, behind Sun Yang and Zhang Lin.
