The Natural Beauty of Floras in Four Seasons Exhibition is now open at the China Wetland Museum.

The exhibition features the 72 pentads, a traditional Chinese calendar system, supplementing agricultural activities based on ancient geography, climate, and natural phenomena. Dividing the year into 24 solar terms, each term is further divided into three pentads, resulting in 72 pentads in total.

The exhibition follows the evolution of these solar terms and features 72 seasonal plants, complemented by 42 traditional Chinese artifacts. Each plant represents a solar term and each piece of porcelain is decorated with motifs and colors corresponding to specific seasons. This setup illustrates the climatic characteristics, agricultural activities, and cultural significance of each solar term, highlighting the impact of climate on nature and human life.

The exhibition will run until Oct 10 and is open from Tuesday to Sunday, 9 am to 4:30 pm (last entry at 4 pm). Admission is free and no reservations are required.
