Zhejiang provincial authorities held an event for industrial chain matchmaking dedicated to Aviation Industry Corporation of China (AVIC) in Qiantang district, Hangzhou on Aug 15, attracting over 250 participants from more than 170 enterprises and financial institutions.

An official from the Economy and Information Technology Department of Zhejiang said that AVIC is a leader in China's aviation industry and a crucial domestic supplier for large aircraft, and that integration into AVIC's supply chain is crucial to the development of Zhejiang's aviation industry, primarily for private enterprises.

Zhejiang currently demonstrates strong supporting capabilities in aviation materials, components and related equipment. Twelve enterprises are qualified suppliers for Commercial Aircraft Corporation of China, with 26 enterprises integrated into AVIC's supply chain. Moreover, Zhejiang has nurtured a number of high-quality enterprises in areas such as general aviation and drone manufacturing.

In terms of industry clustering, Zhejiang boasts two national-level aviation economic demonstration zones in Hangzhou and Ningbo, as well as a number of new platforms.

Meanwhile, Qiantang district is seizing opportunities in the development of its low-altitude flight economy, accelerating the aggregation of superior projects and innovative platforms to establish itself as a hub for aerospace and aviation innovation in the Yangtze River Delta and a national hub for aviation and aerospace equipment manufacturing.
