Zhejiang athletes bag three more gold medals at Tokyo Paralympics

Athletes from East China's Zhejiang province won three gold medals during Tokyo 2020 Paralympics competitions from Aug 28-30.

Hangzhou native Tan Yujiao clinched gold in the women's 67kg weightlifting contest. Born in 1990, Tan previously won gold medals at the Rio 2016 Paralympics.

Zhang Tianxin and his female teammate Chen Minyi won gold in the W1-level mixed archery contest. Pinghu native Zhang started training in Hangzhou four years ago.

Jiang Yuyan, the youngest member of the Chinese delegation, set a world record in the heats of the women's 50m butterfly S6 and finished first in the final. The 16-year-old is from Shaoxing.

This latest haul of medals brings the total gold tally for Zhejiang athletes to five.
