Hangzhou-Wenzhou High-Speed Rail to open in early September
Blooms Hangwen Railway Co Ltd announced that the Hangzhou-Wenzhou High-Speed Rail will officially open in early September. Those holding commemorative tickets for the inaugural train are invited to join the first ride.
The Hangzhou-Wenzhou HSR spans approximately 260 kilometers, has a design speed of 350 km per hour, and features nine stations.
Once operational, passengers will be able to travel from Wenzhou South and Wenzhou North stations directly to Hangzhou West Station, reducing travel time between Wenzhou and Hangzhou to about one hour.
After the Yiwu Station renovation and the completion of the Yiwu-Hangzhou-Wenzhou connection line, passengers will be able to transfer at Yiwu Station to the Shanghai-Kunming HSR, reaching Hangzhou East and Hangzhou South stations.
Since entering the trial operation phase on July 30, the Hangzhou-Wenzhou HSR has steadily progressed through various tests and preparations. To celebrate the opening, Blooms Hangwen Railway Co Ltd has planned a series of activities and invites people with commemorative tickets to participate.
Li, responsible for event registration, revealed that the commemorative tickets were distributed through a previous company lottery, with over 300 tickets offered in total. The registration hotline has been buzzing with enthusiastic responses, reflecting the public's anticipation for the HSR's launch.
To register, ticket holders can scan a QR code, call the staff directly, or register via the customer service WeChat account baishenglianhe or the Blooms United Group's official WeChat account. The registration deadline is before midnight on Sept 1. Successful registrants will receive further details about the opening ceremony.
