The Third Global Digital Trade Expo commenced on Sept 25 in Hangzhou, serving as a major platform for international digital trade collaboration.

This year's expo, which emphasizes national and global participation, features over 400 new products and technologies from 32 countries, attracting three times as many international attendees compared as last year.

Recognized in the State Council's latest report, the expo highlights Hangzhou's leadership in the digital economy, with the city's digital trade amounting to 319.07 billion yuan ($45.45 billion) in 2023. This year, the event promises groundbreaking innovations, including flying cars and humanoid robots, alongside a new robot showcase area.

The expo will also feature a variety of activities, including a digital human debate competition and Africa Day, aimed at fostering collaboration between China and Africa. Additionally, several industry reports will be launched, presenting insights into China's digital commerce growth.

As a testament to its international appeal, the expo has attracted over 100 global enterprises, including Amazon and major UN organizations. Hangzhou's efforts to enhance the visitor experience, improve infrastructure, and promote online engagement set the stage for a transformative digital trade event.

With ambitious goals for the future, including a projected digital trade value of 430 billion yuan by 2026, the expo is set to solidify Hangzhou's position as a leader in the global digital economy. As the city welcomes participants from around the world, it aims to continue shaping the future of digital trade and innovation.
