2024 Silk Road Week to conclude in Paris

The closing event of the 2024 Silk Road Week will take place in Paris on Oct 14, as part of a collaboration between the China National Silk Museum and the New Franco-Chinese Institute.
Since its inception in 2020, the week has become a major cultural event, organized by the National Cultural Heritage Administration and the Zhejiang Provincial Government. This year's event celebrates the 60th anniversary of diplomatic relations between China and France, with France as the guest of honor.
This year's edition opened on June 19 and has attracted 427,000 visitors through exhibitions such as Chang'an on the Silk Road and 18th-Century Lyon: Silk Capital of the Enlightenment, alongside academic forums and digital museum competitions.
Key activities include a silk art exhibition at the Musee Guimet, demonstrations of traditional silk weaving, a Sino-French fashion show, an academic forum on fashion and cultural heritage, and workshops at the Marangoni Fashion Institute.
The event continues to strengthen cultural ties between China and France, highlighting the enduring legacy of the Silk Road in modern fashion and design.
