The Qiandao Lake Tunnel Art Museum, located along the greenway in the northeastern area of Qiandao Lake in Chun'an county, opened just before the National Day holiday and quickly became a hit with cyclists.

More than 20,000 riders visited the unique site from Oct 1 to 5, including Zhang Chi from the neighboring Anhui province, who described his stop at the tunnel as a pleasant surprise.

The museum, created by repurposing old tunnels, features mural galleries and international art, with highlights like the famous A Panorama of Rivers and Mountains painting brought to life through modern lighting effects. According to local officials, the goal is to enhance Qiandao Lake's tourism appeal and promote experiential travel.

The tunnel museum complements the 53-kilometer cycling route around the northeastern lake area, offering a fresh way to explore Qiandao Lake. Future plans include more interactive exhibits and amenities for cyclists, making it a must-visit destination.
