Tea farmers from Shuangling village in Shuangpu town, Xihu district, Hangzhou have been busy producing osmanthus-infused Jiuqu Hongmei tea using a traditional lime curing technique.

Jiuqu Hongmei, a premium black tea with nearly 200 years of history, is one of Hangzhou's two renowned teas, along with West Lake Longjing.

In recent years, farmers have experimented with blending fresh osmanthus flowers with Jiuqu Hongmei to create a fragrant tea that has gained traction with tea lovers. This novel idea has not only boosted the reputation of Jiuqu Hongmei but also provided new avenues for local farmers to increase their incomes.
