The 2024 Zhejiang Youth Film Festival opened on the evening of Oct 20 with a grand ceremony at the Zhejiang International Film and Television Center in Hangzhou.

The event, running from Oct 18 to 24, is organized by the Zhejiang Provincial Publicity Department and the Zhejiang Film Bureau. Over 100 film industry professionals gathered to celebrate the occasion.

With the theme "Riding the Waves", the ceremony highlighted the dynamic growth and potential of youth in cinema. Key honors were awarded, including "Best Film of the Year" for No More Bets and "Best Young Director" for Liu Taifeng of Another Hopeful Day.

This year's event continues its mission to empower young filmmakers, offering a platform for new talent to pursue their cinematic dreams.
