The 2024 China Grand Canal Cultural Fair and the 11th China Grand Canal Temple Fair began in Hangzhou on June 15.
This four-day event, running until June 18, blends the rich traditional culture of Jiangnan with modern lifestyle arts, offering a captivating journey through time for visitors.
The historic Dadou Road Cultural Block is lined with various cultural and creative products showcasing the essence of canal culture, and 15 enterprises from cities along the Beijing-Hangzhou Grand Canal are displaying works that encapsulate their local cultural heritage.
In the Qiaoxi Historic Area, the intangible cultural heritage experience area features traditional handicrafts, tea ceremonies, and more, sparking a renewed interest in traditional culture. The special Gongchen Tea Fair displays a wide array of tea utensils, snacks, flower arrangements, and incense, highlighting the richness of Chinese tea culture.
The Canal World Culture Art Park offers a variety of activities that are particularly popular with families, giving children the chance to enjoy ice cream while participating in creative art courses.
The park has also brought a fresh wave of modern cultural art to the event. The area hosts musicians from various regions, creating a vibrant music and art festival. A rock-themed market with over 50 vendors provides young attendees with a unique cultural experience.
