The Qiaoxi History Culture Block underwent comprehensive conservation in 2008, restoring 122 traditional courtyard houses, cobblestone streets, and the Zhang Daxian Temple.

Spanning approximately 7.29 hectares, from Hangyi Cotton Reserve Warehouse in the north to the north side of Dengyun Bridge in the south, and from Xiahe Road in the west to the Beijing-Hangzhou Grand Canal in the east.

This protected area preserves significant relics of modern industrial heritage, storage facilities, residences of urban lower-middle class from various historical periods, traditional commerce, folk worship, and public buildings. It is a piece of history showcasing the development of national industry and the daily lives of laborers along the canal over the years.
