Binjiang district in Hangzhou, capital of East China's Zhejiang province, held the Cyberspace Security Talent Day event at Anheng Tower on May 12, as part of the 3rd Hangzhou Binjiang International Talent Festival.

The event was organized by the management committee of Hangzhou High-Tech Zone (Binjiang) and the government of Binjiang district.

In recent years, China has been striving to attract and cultivate skilled cyberspace workers to alleviate its shortage of technical workers. The event, held by Binjiang district was a response to the country's call.

By holding the Cyberspace Security Talent Day, Binjiang aims to attract skilled workers in cyberspace security from across the globe and promote industrial growth.

During the event, the government of Binjiang partnered with DBAPPSecurity, a Hangzhou-based cyberspace security solutions provider, to launch a program aimed at tackling network security related challenges.

The program aims to collect network security solutions and attract skilled workers.

An incentive policy was also launched, which stipulates that innovation projects which start operation in Binjiang will receive up to 10 million yuan ($1.41 million) in subsidies.
